What is RTLS?
RTLS stands for Real-time Locating System and describes any technology that is capable of tracking people and things as they move, while it happens.
Bluetooth Beacons are the fastest growing RTLS technology due to their price advantage and ease of management. Essentially, beacons add a “smart” functionality to objects that aren’t smart by nature, providing an object’s location & timestamp. More sophisticated devices can also provide further insights such as temperature, motion and even humidity of an object or the space around it.
